A few months ago, we had the pleasure of interviewing Marc Cosentino at his Santa Barbara home. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Marc, he’s pretty much the Godfather when it comes to case interviews. We had a blast getting to meet Marc, the guy who pretty much pioneered case interview prep material.

Market sizing is the test of a consultant’s mettle. It is a classic case interview question, in which a candidate is asked to make an estimate. When a consultant meets with the CEO of a major airline to discuss growth strategy, for example, they may need to do a market sizing to get a grasp of how big the broader market is.
