It helped me a lot in getting ready for case interviews , and now I have an offer from BCG [ Eastern Europe ] and A.T. So my dilemma is whether to go for BCG [ Eastern Europe ], for the great company it is, the focus in projects that it has, and also for the market, which in this region is very interesting.

On the first day of orientation, we were told that we should start applying yesterday, especially if we wanted to get into consulting – but not to put all our eggs in one basket because it was so competitive – and so we all polished our resumes and contrived our cover letters and sent them out left and right to anyone with an inbox.

I probably put in over 100 hours preparing , and only about 80 of those were for the case, I believe those additional 20 hours of prep for the experience portions helped put me over the top when competing with other candidates from more target schools. Basically, to get interviews, network, network and then network some more.
