I hope we'll be able to meet one day. What you have to realize about this role of reading consulting resumes and cover letters is this. Out of 400 applications, I would say about 350 of them were clear and obvious mail merge cover letters. --. If I read a crappy cover letter, I'm basically in an irritated mood.

This reminds me of my own story applying to every investment bank on Wall Street and not even getting an interview with most and not getting past Round 1 with anybody. For me, my attempt at investment banking ended quite poorly. First, it's interesting that your path to McKinsey ironically began with two negative experiences.
