I interviewed with six major consulting companies + three others during my MBA program 1.5 I managed to get the interviews with all three majors with the help of my well established networking connections, but was again dinged by McKinsey and Bain. Going through interviews after being dinged before is twice as hard.

Bain: Base Salary: $83,500. Bain: Base Salary: $148,000. While Bain, BCG, and McKinsey offer the most competitive consultant salaries in the market currently, salaries offered at less prestigious firms are still very good. In most cases, financial consultants fall under larger audit firms. Performance Bonus: $18,000 max.

Have an upcoming Oliver Wyman interview? Additionally, a lack of an advanced degree would not knock you off that path (like it would at McKinsey, BCG or Bain). Exit opportunities: Working for i-banks or the big guys (McKinsey and Bain) is a great way to launch into private equity , but Oliver Wyman is a close second.
