I went through workshops offered by these firms and talked to numerous recruiters and consultants. I additionally applied to Booz, AT Kearney, Oliver Wyman, Siemens Management Consulting, and OC&C. The only two firms which invited me without prior contact were OC&C and Oliver Wyman.

Using your frameworks and guidelines, I was able to recently secure offers from Oliver Wyman and McKinsey (I accepted the McKinsey offer). I hadn't applied during the regular recruiting season as I was planning on going directly to an MBA program and trying to get into consulting afterwards.
