This can’t (easily) happen with business buyers. Yes, they can inflate their resume, like they do for jobs, and that’s why relationship is so important. A business buyer can’t inflate their liquid assets because they’ll need to use those funds. Cash flow is, however, the tricky one. Why didn’t the bank(s) verify?
