One of the biggest challenges early on in my career was working in Japan.
I was in my early 20s, fresh out of college, wasn’t fluent in Japanese — yet I was working and living among this culture that was so different from my own.
My goal?
To work with the big companies.
I wanted to be able to go into a boardroom and win deals with senior executives.
It wasn’t easy.
But I did it.
I knew that if I plunged myself forward and figured it out along the way, I would be able to look back and say:
“I did that. I conquered that.”
And you can do this too.
I recently talked with Colin Morgan, the host of The Daily Grind Podcast, where I shared my story — and some of the biggest lessons I’ve learned in business.
In this episode, you’ll learn…
- The difference between consulting and coaching — and why it’s so important to you, the consultant
- How to deal with the new challenges that come with growing your consulting business (instead of hoping all your challenges would go away)
- Why most people overcomplicate their marketing and sales — and how to stay focused on the “big wins” that actually create results
