I suggest you network with anyone within a management consulting firm regardless of whether they are involved in recruiting or consulting resume screening. Your goal is not to contact people who can help you in recruiting. My response is networking, if done properly, is never taken as a negative. Very hard to predict.

As a recruiter, if you saw a CV from a guy from BCG [ Eastern Europe ] and A.T. From a prestige factor, BCG is the better name to have on the consulting resume , particularly if you are early in your career and you do not have another big brand name employer preceding ATK or BCG.
