This high growth client wanted the Supervisor Excellence Training for Technical Operations program to lift team productivity, increase employee engagement, and stabilize employee retention. Based upon data from our people manager assessment center, they knew that being a successful supervisor required a combination of technical and interpersonal skills that drove ownership and accountability for the success of their team. To achieve the payoff of great Supervisors and avoid the liability of poor Supervisors, the company wanted to establish proficiency with the fundamentals of management.

The highly experiential and customized design ensured that Supervisors were first and foremost responsible for the productivity of their team including areas such as: managing employees’ schedules, making sure everyone meets deadlines, assigning tasks to the appropriate team members, and creating an environment that is inclusive, respectful, and psychologically safe.

The highly customized Supervisor Excellence Training for Technical Operations was a 3-month action learning program focused on helping Technical Operations Supervisors and included:

  • 360 Degree Feedback
    Interviews and conversations with the Supervisor’s manager and direct reports to personalize the coaching component and close gaps in Supervisor confidence and proficiency.

  • 1×1 Coaching
    Targeted 1×1 coaching sessions relevant to the Supervisor’s learning goals and gaps identified with a central objective of raising awareness AND closing those gaps.

  • Leadership Competency Integration
    Integration with company-specific leadership competencies required for success as a people leader.

  • Experiential Live and Virtual Learning
    Highly interactive learning experiences that focused on real work, relevant case studies, practice, and feedback in the areas of:

    — Understanding the expectations of a supervisor
