During challenging times, various paths unfold.

Things generally trend upward or downward.

They tend to sway toward either the light or dark side.

The light embodies peace; the dark, conflict.

Peace is straightforward. Perhaps overly so?

Three actions can foster peace:

1. Engage in civil, loving conversations wherever possible.
2. Refrain from endorsing hate or violence.
3. Prioritize expressing positive emotions.

This mirrors promoting good health, doesn’t it?

1. Consume nutritious, unprocessed foods.
2. Exercise for at least 30 minutes daily.
3. Avoid foods and substances detrimental to the body.

By doing these to the best of your ability, you’ll likely live healthier and longer compared to those who don’t.

In my experience, achieving and maintaining good health is easier than living peacefully.

Actions for maintaining health are more evident.

However, expressing negative emotions like impatience, anger, or blame is remarkably easy.

Justifying these feelings, particularly when someone is blaming you or doing harm, comes naturally.

Exercising patience, calmness, and forgiveness in such situations can be incredibly challenging.

However, similar to avoiding junk food for health, refraining from expressing negative emotions contributes to peace.

Peace can’t be attained through impatience, anger, or blame.

So, how do we live more peacefully?

Certainly not by blaming others for their lack of peace!

I’ve grappled with this my whole life, and it’s simple yet immensely difficult.

It commences by…

Making an effort not to dwell in negativity and striving to experience and express positive emotions and traits.

This is the only reliable path to peace that I know of.

Not for the entire world—since I have no control over it.

Considering my life, I’m uncertain if I have control over myself.

If I did, I’d probably be perfect by now! LOL!

However, I can prioritize and make peace a project.

I can set reminders and articulate peace by writing (like this).

I can practice it one conversation at a time with those in my life.

I can find peace right here, every day, right now.

I wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving!

It’s an excellent occasion to practice peace with your family!

Peace, Robert

P.S. Watch my video on Expandria to explore how to prioritize positive emotions.

Peace

If there is to be peace in the world,
There must be peace in the nations.
If there is to be peace in the nations,
There must be peace in the cities.
If there is to be peace in the cities,
There must be peace between neighbors.
If there is to be peace between neighbors,
There must be peace in the home.
If there is to be peace in the home,
There must be peace in the heart.
