We Think Therefore We Are

Tom Spencer

'If you can imagine it, then it can become a reality. ADAM Spencer (no relation) gives a wonderful speech about the beauty of mathematics, the search for the largest prime number, and the age in which we now live – the age of machine aided human discovery. As Adam poetically states, “numbers are the musical notes with which the symphony of the universe is written.” And machines are now being used to help us discover that universe.

The entire education system is and has been for some time unsustainable. The cost of education keeps rising along with. Government aid.

This isn't going to work

Seth Godin Blog

'AT&T has a new film out about the stupidity, selfishness and yes, death, associated with texting while driving. It''s directed by Werner Herzog and it''s quite moving. It''s not going to work. Hundreds of thousands of people are going to die or be maimed because it''s physically impossible for us to deal with the cultural imperative to stay in touch on our phones--and drive at the same time.

The Red Lantern

Seth Godin Blog

'At the grueling Iditarod, there''s a prize for the musher who finishes last: The Red Lantern. Failing to finish earns you nothing, of course. But for the one who sticks it out, who arrives hours late, there''s the respect that comes from finding the strength to make it, even when all seems helpless. Most parents (and most bosses) agree that this sort of dedication is a huge asset in life.

Don’t Bumble Like the French

Martinka Consulting

'Over one month in the summer of 1940 the German military forced the French to surrender. Most people would assume that the German’s had a mighty military machine and simply overpowered the French. However, the French had as many or more military personnel as the Germans, more heavy equipment (tanks, airplanes, etc.) and much of their equipment was technically superior to the German’s.
