What is Consulting?

Tom Spencer

(Source: Flickr ). “Consulting” is a pretty general term, and doesn’t really give you a clear idea of what consultants actually do. The Oxford dictionary indicates that “to consult” means to “seek information or advice from someone (especially an expert)”. In other words, consultants are people who provide expert advice. We are interested mainly in the consultants who provide advice to organisations (corporate, non-profit and government).

The Business Silent Killer

Chad Barr

This Week’s reflection point: Last year, prior to the launch of our new The Chad Barr Group web presence, a colleague shared with me that although he loves the work our company does for our clients, he would not do business with me based on the look of my current web presence. I realized that by immersing ourselves into servicing our clients I had neglected my own web presence.

5 Articles to Inspire Customer Experience Success

1 to 1

Customer experience today means everything. With retailers announcing seemingly on a weekly basis of store closings, experience is more important than ever before. To do customer experience right, everyone might be responsible for delivering on it and be held accountable for its success or failure.

Instead

Seth Godin Blog

What would have happened if you and your organization, instead of working on today's crisis, built something worthwhile for tomorrow? What would have been discussed instead? The front row culture

The group files into the theater, buzzing. People hustle to get to the front row, sitting side by side, no empty seats. The event starts on time, the excitement is palpable. The other group wanders in. The front row is empty and stays that way. There are two or even three empty seats between each individual. The room is sort of dead. In both cases, the CEO or the guest speaker is going to address the group for an hour.
