2021 has been a tough and challenging year.

Give yourself a pat on the back for making it here. Now, it’s time to prepare for the new year ahead.

It’s time to learn from the past and look forward to a new and better future.

Ask yourself…

“Do I want to achieve something bigger and succeed in the new year?

In this bonus podcast, I’m going to share with you five growth levers that can help you make 2022 your best year yet.

But first, I want to acknowledge how challenging 2021 has been for so many people.

There’s been a lot of loss, hard situations, and our minds playing games and tricks on us from 2020 to today — with so many challenges confronting us all.

People’s health has been affected.

There’s been illness, loss, and death.

So before we begin, I want to wish you and your family a healthy, happy and prosperous 2022.

1. Goals

Let’s get into the five growth levers that can help you make a significant difference and see greater success in 2022.

These are the things that we consistently see that do make the biggest difference to the trajectory of your success.

Number one is goals — but not just any goals.

I’m speaking about clear, prioritized goals.

These will often include your revenue and profit numbers — but also the impact that you want to have.

These goals should challenge you.

They shouldn’t be easy for you to accomplish.

You want to set your goals so that you’re going to feel good about accomplishing them and will feel proud of yourself for realizing them.

The clearer that you are, the more specific you are about your goals, the easier it’s going to be for you to articulate, plan and strategize on how to make them a reality.

Contrast that to “fuzzy” goals.

Fuzzy goals are very hard to achieve because they’re always moving.

I challenge you to get clear, specific, and detailed about what you want to achieve in every aspect of your business and life.

Prioritize them down to the few that matter — those that will make the biggest difference — that’s where you should start with these goals.

2. Consistency & Accountability

The second growth lever is consistency and accountability.

Now more than ever before, we are all surrounded by more options and noise.

We have more choices — but also have more distractions.

We see ads everywhere from people promising that you can get rich overnight or that one piece of software will automate your way to millions of dollars.

Let’s be real. That doesn’t happen. It doesn’t make sense.

These can become distractions that push you off your course. That moves you away from the goals and the targets that you set.

That’s why it’s so important that you’re moving consistently towards your goals.

I’ve been deeply studying over the last many months and probably 2020 what the best companies all have in common and the role that leadership plays in those companies.

We’re all leaders and need to act like one.

It doesn’t matter what your role in the company or if it’s you as a sole consultant or a small firm owner, you are still a leader.

The sooner that you embrace that mindset, accept that you are a leader, and demonstrate the actions of a leader, the more progress you’re going to make, the more success you’re going to have.

That means that we do what we say we are going to do. We show up and give it our best.

We may not make as much progress as we want every single day but as long as we are moving forward consistently, we’re going to achieve meaningful progress.

That’s also why accountability is so important.

In our Clarity Coaching Program, one thing that we’ve done with all of our clients is we’ve helped them to develop a strategic quarterly action plan so they’re clear on their highest value goals.

We ensure that they’re working on the right goals to create the result that they desire.

Then, we support them and provide accountability to work through their quarterly plans.

Doing this consistently creates breakthroughs in your business and success.

3. Community

Growth lever number three is to surround yourself with the right people and community.

Jim Rohn said, “You’re the average of the five people that you spend the most time with.”

The question is, do you have like-minded entrepreneurial consultants around you?

Do you have a community of people who are not only doing what you are doing or what you want to be but also a community of people who have shared values and goals?

You want to be spending time with consultants who are at a level above you, and where you aspire to be. That will keep you inspired and motivated.

When you have a community of big thinkers and successful people, you start to see what’s possible.

You start to think, act, achieve bigger and greater levels of success come with that.

If you’re not surrounding yourself with that community, you don’t have people at the next level around you that is motivating, inspiring, supporting you, it’s going to be much more challenging for you to achieve that success all by yourself.

That’s why we created the Clarity Coaching Program.

The community of consultants inside of our program is one of the things that makes it so valuable.

It’s why people stay in the program for so long and keep coming back.

Make sure that you have a community, accountability, and people around you who are going to…

  • Support you…
  • Motivate you…
  • Show you what’s possible…
  • What your potential is…

…and to help you see things that you likely haven’t seen before yourself.

4. Learning

Growth lever number four is learning, studying, and having a growth mindset.

The fact that you are reading this is a good indication that you are a learner.

You are a student constantly wanting to grow and improve. That’s fantastic.

Welcome because you’re in the right place.

This is, in fact, one of our company and core values at Consulting Success.

You can see it with the list of our other values on our story page.

One of our values is exactly we are entrepreneurial.

To achieve more, you want to learn more.

Jim Rohn also said, “A successful person has a big library and those struggling to succeed have a big television.”

I don’t think that’s completely true — but the point is solid.

The more that you learn, study, work on improving yourself and your knowledge, the more success that you’re going to create.

This may sound daunting to some but it doesn’t need to be.

If you’re spending one hour a week reading, increase it to two hours.

Look at where you are, establish that baseline and push yourself to learn more.

Go a little bit deeper.

If you’re not doing anything, make time for it.

Reading and learning are some of the best investments that you can make.

I remembered many years ago. I was in Japan building one of our businesses. I went into Kinokuniya, one of these big bookstores in Japan.

I bought a book. I don’t remember which one it was, but I remember I paid about $10 for it.

I walked out thinking to myself…

“How is it possible that I invest in such a small amount of money but I tapped into the knowledge of this author, who’s spent 15, 20, 30 years accumulating that knowledge?”

They’ve gone through trial and error. Here I am able to accumulate that knowledge for such a small investment.

Whether you are investing in books or audio programs or courses or a coaching program, whatever it might be, the more that you can learn, that truly is the best way to shortcut your path towards greater success.

I don’t say that lightly because we hear this idea and I think everybody wants the shortcut. They want the cheat sheet. They don’t want to do the work, they just want to get the result.

Most good things in life take time and require hard work. They require focus.

But if you truly want to find ways to accelerate your progress, to identify those shortcuts, that will come through learning.

That’s why, if you look at athletes, any performer artists, they have mentors and coaches. They’re studying and learning.

Why?

Without it, they only know what they know.

When you can get access to learning, you’ll see new things and perspectives that you haven’t seen before — or can’t see by yourself because you’re not even aware that those things exist.

That’s where you can find a much faster, more efficient, effective, and direct path to achieve the result you ultimately want.

5. Mindset

Finally, growth lever number five is a mindset.

I truly have saved the best for last.

Without a positive growth and action-oriented mindset — even with the best of intentions — the other four levers will be hard for you to pull.

This is the beautiful thing about business.

With the right mindset, you truly can accomplish anything and will set big, ambitious and meaningful goals.

You’ll surround yourself with the right community.

You’ll be consistent and accountable.

And you’ll learn and implement what you need in order to achieve the success you desire.

These five levers are connected. Their power compounds.

The more you do of one, the more benefit you’ll see throughout your business and life to strengthen and improve your mindset.

Make sure that you’re around the right people: positive, growth-minded, creative, and ambitious.

Study, read, and learn. Gain new perspectives, see bigger pictures and opportunities.

Find those new opportunities that otherwise you wouldn’t have even noticed.

When you bring these five levers together and magical things start to happen, you start to feel like you’re making more progress because you are.

Things will start to click into place. Your business grows. You land more clients, earn more money and make a great impact — and help more people along the way.

You will enjoy this process so much more.

My dear friend and reader joining in here, we have 2022 in front of us.

My question to you is what will you create?

What do you want to achieve that you will be proud of because you can rise and create greater and higher levels of success?

I wish you a wonderful year, health, happiness, and success to you and your family.

We have a lot in store that I’m excited to share with you in 2022 that’s going to be taking place at Consulting Success.

It’s going to be a very big year.

I’m so honored and glad to have you in our community and family.

Make it a great day and a great year.
