Survey: Brazilian consumer sentiment during the coronavirus crisis

Uncertainty remains the prevailing sentiment in Brazil, and nearly a third of Brazilians have experienced a decline in income in recent weeks. However, optimism has been growing and, while consumers have been decreasing spending across most categories, expected spend (net) has been slowly recovering since the start of the pandemic. The vast majority of Brazilians believe that their routines and finances will return to normal by June 2021.

These exhibits are based on survey data collected in Brazil from November 9–14, 2020. Check back for regular updates on Brazilian consumer sentiments, behaviors, income, spending, and expectations.
