Survey: Saudi consumer sentiment during the coronavirus crisis

In Saudi Arabia, consumers continue to look for ways to save money and buy purchasing less-expensive products, as the pandemic rolls past the one-year mark. More consumers are making a portion of their purchases online than prior to COVID-19, with an increase in adoption of new shopping behaviors such as restaurant and grocery deliveries. Saudi consumers cite convenience and value as the primary reasons for trying new shopping behaviors. They are still not yet fully comfortable going back to “regular” out-of-home activities and are waiting for milestones beyond the government lifting restrictions before they return to normal patterns.

These exhibits are based on survey data collected in Saudi Arabia from January 25 to February 10, 2021. Check back for regular updates on Saudi consumer sentiments, behaviors, income, spending, and expectations.
