How To Improve Your Voice Like Jeff Bridges, Gwen Stefani, Tony Robbins And Joaquin Phoenix

This article is more than 4 years old.

No doubt about it, prospects judge you on many factors, and one is on the quality of your voice. If you want to attract high-paying clients, you should pay attention to your voice.

If you want more vocal power, Love might be the answer.

Roger Love is Hollywood’s go-to guy when it comes to voice. His client list includes notables such as Tony Robbins, Gwen Stefani, Jeff Bridges, Selena Gomez, and Bradley Cooper, among others.

He is arguably one of the world’s leading authorities on voice and speech training. Perhaps no other vocal coach in history has been more commercially successful in both the speaking and singing fields.

Here’s one noteworthy Hollywood credit. Love vocal coached Reese Witherspoon and Joaquin Phoenix for the film Walk the Line. The film received three Golden Globe Awards, one Screen Actors Guild Award, one Platinum Selling CD Award, a Grammy Award, and an Academy Award.

To master vocal power is a lifelong pursuit. But how can you get started on the journey? Here are some quick tips Love shared for improving your vocal power:

Warm Up Your Voice. “A runner would never start a race without stretching before. Give your voice some stretching, too.”

Drop Your Jaw Down. “Most people simply do not open their mouths enough to let the sound come out unobstructed.”

Drink More Water. “You should drink about one-half gallon of pure water daily.”

Wean Yourself Off Whispering. “When you whisper, you force a tremendous amount of extra air over the vocal cords making them dry and irritated.”

Stop Tightening Your Abdomen. “Too many people hear the word ‘support’ from singing coaches and think it means to create pressure in your abdomen as a means to somehow push more sound out.”

Learn Diaphragmatic Breathing. “It is very easy and much healthier for the body. Just put your hand on your abdomen, near your belly button. When you inhale, pretend that you have a balloon in there and let it expand. Then when you speak or sing, let it come back in.”

Tea With Honey and Lemon Is a Bad Idea. “Hot, caffeinated tea with honey and lemon is a recipe for poor singing and speaking. Have you noticed how your fingers look like prunes when you take a long hot bath? Drinking very hot tea can take a similar toll on your throat.”

If you want to attract more high-paying clients, you need to speak better than you do now. Here is an affordable way to improve with Love if you are in the Southern California area.

Come hear Love the morning of February 21,2020 at UC Irvine. The event is about high impact communication strategies and it is sponsored by the ENP Institute. Here are the event details.

Love has vocally produced more than 100 million unit sales worldwide, written three top-selling books, created the best-selling audio programs Vocal Power and The Perfect Voice, and has appeared as a regular in four major network TV shows. His film voice coaching credits include Walk The Line, Crazy Heart, Begin Again and A Star is Born.
